PACKING
& THINGS TO BRING ALONG
Pack
some of your travel companion's clothes in your suitcase and
vise versa so that in case a piece of luggage is lost, you'll
both have a change of clothing. |
| |
Gather
all information possible about the vacation area you will be
traveling to. Make sure that you are aware of all aspects of
your trip. |
| |
Be
sure that you don't wear a new pair of shoes for the first time
on your vacation. Wear shoes that are broken in to ensure comfort. |
| |
If
you travel with medicine it's wise to carry it in the bottle
the prescription came in to avoid any confusion during custom
inspections. |
| |
Carry
along a pack with snacks, such as raisins or peanuts. |
| |
Carry
money in the form of travelers checks. They are available through
most local banks. Keep denominations to low figures and remember
to keep a list of the numbers of the checks somewhere separate
from the checks themselves in case they are lost or stolen. |
| |
Take
an extra pair of glasses or a prescription for your glasses
just in case. |
| |
Pack
as lightly as possible. |
| |
Bring
a small, lightweight travel alarm. |
| |
When
packing, make a list of what you're taking with you as a guideline
of what to remember to bring when packing up your things in
hotels. |
| |
Bring
along plastic bags to hold such items as dirty laundry, damp
items or muddy shoes. |
